He spent the majority of his career on a mediocre Eagles team.
Despite being a mainstay in the Eagles offense, he was unceremoniously released by the team.
He signed with the Jets afterwards, but was unable to make the team's final roster.
His production with the Eagles dropped considerably, prior to Ron Jaworski becoming the starting quarterback.
He spent the final two games of his career as a member of one of the Eagles hated rivals, the Cowboys.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a tri-sport athlete during his time at Southern University, as he participated in football, basketball and track.
He established himself as Ron Jaworski's main target during his tenure with the Eagles.
He retired as the Eagles' all-time leader in pass receptions, receiving yards, and receiving and career touchdowns.
At 6'8', he was one of the tallest receivers in NFL history.
He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Eagles, as part of the team's front office (2017).
