Why he might be annoying:

He was traded from the NJ Devils to the Dallas Stars a few hours before the 2001-02 trade deadline.
Fans in Dallas weren't very responsive to him at first because he scored the goal that won the Devils the Stanley Cup against the Stars (2000).
His numbers have suffered since being traded to the Dallas Stars.
He is a pretty boy.
He used to highlight his hair.

He, like his childhood heros Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier, got his start with the Edmonton Oilers.
He was named to the 1993-94 All-Rookie Team.
He scored the game winning goal in the second overtime of game six of the Stanley Cup finals against the Dallas Stars. This lead to the Devils' second ever Stanley Cup finals victory (2000).
He donates time and charity to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.
