    Served as main contact between the KYP Intelligence Service and John Fatseas, the top CIA operative in Greece (1959-1964)
    Prime Minister of Greece (December 13, 1967-October 8, 1973)
    Regent of Greece (March 21, 1972-May 31, 1973)
    President of Greece (June 1–November 25, 1973)
    Found guilty of several crimes, including high treason, mutiny, and torture (August 23, 1975)
    Died in Athens, Greece

Why he might be annoying:

    His biographical notes said that he didn't graduate from the National Technical University of Athens, where he took a civil engineering course.
    He switched sides during World War II by collaborating with the Axis Powers after initially fighting against them.
    He took power in a coup after getting involved in one eleven years ago. (April 21, 1967)
    As prime minister, he made a short-lived law that enabled him to divorce his first wife, whom he was separated with for a long time. (1970)
    His regime imposed martial law, censorship, and a brutal crackdown on dissent by torturing dissidents or exiling them to Aegean islands in the guise of sending them on vacations.
    Despite his deep admiration for ancient Greek writers, he banned Aristophanes's plays for satirizing government.
    He once accused Richard Nixon and two-thirds of the American Congress for communism.
    He never repented of his actions even up to the day he died.
    He left behind a bitter legacy as a symbol of authoritarianism and xenophobia amongst many Greeks.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was born into poverty.
    He voted against the death sentence of communist leader Nikos Beloyannis. (1952)
    He brought political stability to Greece.
    He improved the Greek economy, carrying out public projects to improve the country's most backward areas.
    He was a staunch American ally who opposed communism.
    His supporters claimed that he strengthened Greek culture.
    He personally pardoned an attempted assassin named Alexandros Panagoulis, reducing his sentence to five years in prison. (November 17, 1968)
    He attempted to reform the military regime, but was thwarted by hardliners.
    He planned to rebuild the Colossus of Rhodes, but it never went into effect.
