He was first cast as Marty McFly in 'Back to the Future' and finished a couple scenes and photography. However, more teenagers liked actor Michael J. Fox, who later replaced him.

He is a critically acclaimed actor.
Although he never had a notable high point in his career, he had 15 minutes of fame by appearing in the movie 'Mask,' where he played a kid with a disfigured face.

He went through two challenging make up movies in his career. One in the unsuccessful sequel 'The Fly' and the other in 'Mask.'
