Why he might be annoying:

He was a member of Hitler's SS during the 1930s.
He worked for IG Farben, the chemical company that produced Zyklon-B, used in Nazi gas chambers.
He was a smoker.
He cheated on Queen Juliana.
He formed a secret organization called the Bilderberg Group.
He was accused of accepting bribes from Lockheed, an aircraft company, in 1976.
During the Lockheed scandal, he refused to talk to the press, adding, 'I am above such things.'
As a result of the scandal, he had to resign from his corporate boards and charities.
We now know what James Lipton will look like in a few years.

Why he might not be annoying:

He renounced his German citizenship and after his marriage was loyal to the Netherlands.
He was a member of the Dutch resistance during World War II.
He flew in the Royal Air Force.
He was very dashing and charismatic.
He co-founded the World Wildlife Fund.
He died of cancer in 2004.
