He went undrafted after college.
He played only a few years in the NFL, most of the time relegated to special teams.
When it became clear that either he or Deshawn was going to be voted out on Survivor, Deshawn campaigned fiercely at Tribal Council to avoid elimination, while Danny did nothing.
One of his pet peeves is lying (then Survivor is the wrong show for you).

Why he might not be annoying:

After retiring from football, he earned an MBA at Indiana University.
While with the Dallas Cowboys, he was teammates with Alan Ball (2010-11).
He won a national championship with LSU under Les Miles (2007).
As a child, he lost his dad to a car crash.
He lists his mother as his hero.
