The Resume

    (January 27, 1859-June 5, 1941)
Kaiser of Germany during World War I
Emperor Wilhelm I dies and Frederick III is crowned Emperor but cannot rule due to throat cancer and a 99 day coma (1888)
Wilhelm II succeeds his father and is crowned Emperor (mid 1888)
Related to: Czar Nicholas II of Russia (cousin), King Edward VII of England (uncle), King George V of England (cousin), King Frederick III of Prussia (father), Queen Victoria of England (grandmother), and Emperor Wilhelm I of Germany was his grandfather
Buildup of German navy under the Tirpitz Plan. (1897-1914)
Declared war on France, Russia and Britain. (1914)
Abdicated and fled to Holland. (1918)

Why he might be annoying:

He did little (if anything) to try and control the actions of Austria-Hungary and prevent the outbreak of World War I.
He built up the German military machine and under the 'Tirpitz Plan,' he built a naval fleet that rivaled only Great Britain.
He had an inferiority complex and a love-hate relationship with England and his uncle, Edward VII.
Some people have claimed that his personality displayed elements of a narcissistic personality disorder.
At an early age, he became imbued with religious mysticism, militarism, anti-semitism, and the glorification of 'power politics.'
Following the death of the Kaiserine in 1921, he re-married only a year later.
Two of his sons joined the SA Brownshirts and were fanatic and devoted Nazis.
He had a brief interest in Nazism.
    He suffered a mental breakdown.
He relied too much on military adviser.
He was obsessed with military lifestyle.
He was accused of raising tension on Britain and France led to WW I.
Even after defeat in 1918 he continued to dream of world power.
He had a brief support with the Nazis hoping to restore the monarchy.
He expressed his German patriotism by sending Hitler a telegram of congratulation after Paris was occupied.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was born with a serious birth defect that made his left arm withered and useless.
The general misconception is that The Kaiser was 'a war monger solely responsible for the First World War.' The basic 'truth' is he did not start the war and he did not want the war.
He was forced to abdicate from his throne as part of the Armistice of WW I.
He lose his interest with the Nazis when Hitler refused to restore the monarchy.
Nazis broke up a celebration honoring his 75th birthday.
On his will, he requested a full military funeral without swastikas, prayers, and singing.
Goebbels ordered all German newspapers to note the Kaiser’s passing with a small, one-paragraph obituary on a back page as an insult.
