TV Reality Show Contestant

The Resume

    'Junkyard Specialist'
    Self-described actor and comedian
    Resides in Kansas City, Missouri
Contestant on ABC's The Bachelorette, Season 11
Booted off the show in the season's first episode for public drunkenness and inappropriate behavior toward Bachelorette contenders Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe (May 18, 2015)

Why he might be annoying:

He came off as a lecherous, overfed blowhard.
His introduction to both women was an obnoxious 'honey, I'm home' crack.
He completely trashed several rooms in the Bachelor mansion in his drunken stupor.
He later stripped down to his skivvies to wade into the mansion pool while heavily intoxicated.
He crashed the intro for another contestant who turned up in a 'hot tub car,' openly hollering 'you suck' at him in front of both Bachelorettes.
His whacked-out behavior weirded out Britt Nilsson, to the point where she subtly begged contestants to steal her away.
He outright groped Kaitlyn Bristowe on the ass while intoxicated, making her equally uncomfortable, and basically sealing his fate.
When contestant J.J. O'Brien pulled him aside to confront him on his behavior, he asked 'why am I not raping you right now,' prompting O'Brien to ask 'why is rape your go-to word?' (implying he had used the word more than once before off-camera).
He dated former Bachelor winner Nikki Ferrell before she went on Juan Pablo's Bachelor season.
His existing ties to The Bachelor franchise led many to believe that his behavior was an orchestrated stunt designed to create drama and generate publicity.
He refused to apologize for his behavior or rape comments in subsequent interviews saying 'People need to get off their high horse. It was awesome and entertaining. I was the only reason the first episode was the shit.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He was only the first of several Season 11 contestants to either walk off the show or be kicked off.
He claimed that his rape comment was not to be taken literally, and that he merely meant to say 'destroy.'
He is living proof that male-on-male rape jokes are not taken as seriously as male-on-female rape.
Chris Harrison was initially nervous about asking him to leave, fearing that he was be assaulted.
He was relieved to see that McDill generally didn't resist when he was told to leave, acting agreeable and cooperative, to the point where Harrison claimed to feel 'sorry for him.'
He claimed to have started drinking heavily when it became clear that his choice, Britt, would not be the Bachelorette.
It is known that the Bachelor producers encourage alcohol consumption on the show, and so it is surprising that these scenes don't happen more often.
He showed up at the 'Bachelorette: Men Tell All' special, sober and apologetic, presenting Kaitlyn with a conciliatory rose, explaining himself, and belatedly ceding his 'vote' to Kaitlyn, who surprisingly took it all in good humor (20 Jul. 2015).
