Why they might be annoying:

Pal Garnst changed his name to Paul Waaktaar-Savoy.
Their debut single 'Take On Me' flopped until they re-released it with a unique pencil sketch animation music video.
They split up in 1994, when Morten Harket decided to pursue a solo career. Morton recorded a solo song in 1989.
Magne Furuholmen and Kjetil Bjerkestrand formed Timbersound while Paul Waaktaar with his wife Lauren formed Savoy.
Although Magne was part of Timbersound, during A-ha's breakup, he concentrated on painting.
They never came close to equalling their first hit 'Take on Me' in the U.S.
Almost all of their hits were in the 1980's.
    Morten rarely listens to music.
At 43, his girlfriend Anne Mette gave birth to Morten's child.

Why they might not be annoying:

The trio played together in a number of Scandinavian bands including Spider Empire, Soldier Blue and Bridges before forming A-ha.
The 'Take on Me' video propelled the song to #1 in the US and #2 in the UK.
During the mid 80's they continued to top the charts in the UK.
They performed in front of 194,000 fans at Marcana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (1991).
They sung the James Bond theme for 'The Living Daylights' (1987).
Morton acted in the Norwegian film Kamilla Og Tyven (1989).
They reunited in the late 1990's.
They officially released 32 singles and 13 have charted in the UK's Top Ten.
Morten was bullied as a school child.
    Morten loves aquariums.
They are by far Norway's most famous pop group (Hey, can you name another Norwegian pop group?).
Paul Waaktaar-Savoy moved to New York City.
