Her character on Doctor Who was of an American, although she was born and raised in England.

Her character's full first name was Perpugilliam (she went by Peri).
She is type cast in Doctor Who type movies and TV shows.
She still does photos with very little clothing, even though she hit the wall.

She was considered for the role of Captain Janeway on 'Star Trek: Voyager,' but the role went to Kate Mulgrew.
She can play the piano, flute, and guitar.

She was recommended for the role of Peri by Terry Carney (William Hartnell's granddaughter's husband).
