    Born in Chicago, Illinois
    Domestic rabbit
Owned by Charlotte Pence, daughter of Vice President Mike Pence
Subject of the children’s book ‘Marlon Bundo’s A Day in the Life of the Vice President,’ written by Charlotte Pence and illustrated by Karen Pence
Subject of the parody book ‘A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo’ by Last Week Tonight writer Jill Twiss

Why he might be annoying:

His name was a play on Marlon Brando.
He was frequently referred to as BOTUS (Bunny of the United States).
Donald Trump reportedly complained that the presence of Bundo and other family pets made the Vice President’s residence look ‘low class.’

Why he might not be annoying:

He was bought by Charlotte for $20 for a student film project when she was a freshman at DePaul University.
The Washington Post described him as ‘ridiculously cute.’
He was pretty chill about the parody book, posting on Instagram, ‘The only thing better than one bunny book for charity is...TWO bunny books for charity.’
Proceeds from the Pences’ original book benefited Tracy’s Kids, an art therapy program, and the A21 Campaign against human trafficking, while sales of the parody benefited the Trevor Project, a nonprofit focused on suicide prevention among LGBTQ+ youth, and AIDS United.
Charlotte said, ‘Marlon really brings people together from all different viewpoints. A lot of people will comment and will say, ‘I don’t agree with your family’s politics, but I love Marlon so much.’… I think that’s great.’
