Why he might be annoying:

He was the 'foreign minister' of Frestonia, a group of buildings occupied by squatters that declared itself independent of Britain.
He claimed different heights in interviews, ranging from 3'6 to 4'0.
He said, 'I look at boring people every day and I say, 'God, I wish I could be like that,' but my lot is to be unique, special, so I have to put up with it. It's a hard life.'
A month before his death, he attempted suicide by inhaling car exhaust.
He committed suicide on his son's 14th birthday.
His death and the accident that left Jack Purvis paralyzed caused director Terry Gilliam to shelve plans for a 'Time Bandits' sequel.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was ambidextrous.
He was a good enough drummer to perform professionally and also played accordion, piano and trumpet.
He was a respected stage actor in England.
He did his own trapeze work for 'The Bride.' ('There aren't a lot of three-foot doubles.')
He came close to dying filming one of the circus scenes in 'The Bride' when the Big Top caught fire and he was left suspended by the safety rope in the middle of the flames until the special effects coordinator outside the tent realized what was happening and lowered him to the ground.
He said of his approach to roles, 'I'm not at all adverse to doing small characters, as long as they're characters, not 'Oh, wouldn't it be funny if we had a dwarf walking in the background.' I won't do that.'
