Why she might be annoying:

She looked much older than she was (she was only in her early sixties when cast as Granny).
She had a piercing, nasal voice.
Kevin Murphy frequently mocked her on ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ (‘JED!!! JED!!!’).
Although she appeared in many films, not many are noteworthy.
She acted in a movie with the incredibly stupid title ‘Don’t Worry, We’ll Think of a Title.’

She suffered from a brain tumor.
Near the end of her life, she reportedly had a stroke while performing onstage in ‘Pippin.’
She was one of Bob Hope’s troupe of USO performers during World War II.
She acted in the classic ape movie ‘Mighty Joe Young.’
She had no living family members, and left her fortune to a foundation that helps young actors.
Granny Clampett is one of the most memorable characters in sit-com history.
She had ‘Granny’ put on her tombstone.
