Why she might be annoying:

She said growing up she never planned to be an actress because, 'It just was not an attainable dream. I planned to be a concert pianist.' (Because that's a much more realistic goal.)
She made her film debut in 'The Goddess,' a movie based (loosely) on her sister-in-law.
For her role in Miller's autobiographical play 'The American Clock,' she essentially played her own mother.

Why she might not be annoying:

She won an Obie, a Drama Desk Award and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Award.
When Miller was dying of cancer and pneumonia, he received hospice care at her New York apartment.
She has a son with cerebral palsy and is active in CP-related charities.
