Singer Jim Kerr is a vegetarian and an animal rights activist.
Charlie Burchill is also a vegetarian.
Kerr married and divorced both singer Chrissie Hynde and actress Patsy Kensit.
Like U2, they also used their fanbase to dictate world policy.
They pushed their political viewpoints at their concerts.
The group kept changing their keyboardist, drummer and bass player; now the band is whittled down to the two founding members.

They had one of the biggest hits in the 80's and that single was used in 'The Breakfast Club' soundtrack.
They sold 25 million albums.
They have a large fanbase and filled concert arenas without the flashy marketing record companies use to promote their artists.
They provided the music industry with an alternative music act from Scotland besides the Bay City Rollers.
