Comedian

The Resume

    (December 12, 1949- )
    Co-writer/accomplice with Andy Kaufman
Appeared in the films 'D.C. Cab' (1983), 'Punchline' (1988), 'Man on the Moon' (1999) and 'The Number 23' (2007)
    Wrote 'Andy Kaufman Revealed!' (1999)

Why he might be annoying:

He frequently worked as an audience plant for Kaufman's bits.
In a single interview, he will assure the questioner that Kaufman really is dead, then declare, 'Had Andy Kaufman lived, he would have faked his death. No doubt in my mind. So it's a catch-22.'
Several fans and members of Kaufman's family have criticized his Kaufman bio as being inaccurate.
He has been accused of taking too much credit for Kaufman's act and comic success.

Why he might not be annoying:

He founded the American Comic Relief charity, which has raised over $50 million for the homeless.
He often performed in Kaufman's stead as lounge singer Tony Clifton, including a live performance of 'Man on the Moon' with REM.
He toured as Clifton with the Kiss My Ass Katrina Orchestra to raise money for hurricane victims (2008).
