Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He is remembered for a bonehead move he made on the field, rather than his on-field performance.
He broke his leg celebrating his walk-off home run, after he landed awkwardly on his ankle jumping on home plate (2010).
He played on seven different teams.
He was banned from the Cuban national team, after they suspected he planned to defect the country.
Prior to his infamous 2010 injury, he was known as Kendry Morales in American baseball circles, as a result of a typographical error.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first teenage player to earn a full-time roster spot with the Cuban national team in 20 years (2002).
He risked his own life, when he safely defected from Cuba to the United States on a raft (2004).
He made a successful comeback after missing a year and a half, following his home plate injury.
He was a member of the Royals team that won their first World Series title in 30 years (2015).
His versatility was an asset, as he was able to play the field and serve as a designated hitter seamlessly.
