Why he might be annoying:

He supposedly believed he was a reincarnation of famous violinist Paganini.
He wanted his daughter, Nastassja Kinski, to play his lover in a movie.
He hated almost all movie directors (except Jess Franco).
He was so difficult to work with that director Werner Herzog supposedly had to point a gun at Kinski to get him to stay on the set.
He got really mad when he wasn't in the center of attention.
When they made their next movie, he actually left the set before the movie was finished.
His autobiography has been said to be 'beyond pornography.'
He didn't try to hide the fact that he preferred to make bad Hollywood movies instead of German quality movies simply because the Hollywood producers paid him more money.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a great actor.
He could play crazy, obsessed characters like no other actor (probably because he really was crazy).
He has a strong cult following.
He was a German soldier in the WW II, but he hated the Nazis, so he made sure to be captured by the British army.
