The Resume

    (May 19, 1941- )
    Born in Detroit, Michigan
General President of the Teamsters Union (December 1998- )
    Attorney by trade
    Son of Jimmy Hoffa

Why he might be annoying:

He followed in his father's footsteps and became President of the Teamsters Union.
He is incredibly unpopular with corporate America.
He is known for delivering fiery speeches.
On Labor Day 2011, he made headlines by saying voters needed to 'take these sons of bitches out,' with sons of bitches being the Tea Party.
Though he advocated a strength in numbers approach, he split the Teamsters away from the largest union federation in the country (AFL-CIO).
He strongly supported universal health care, a controversial issue in the United States.

Why he might not be annoying:

He fought hard for fair wages, safe working conditions, medical benefits, retirement security, etc.
He earned his law degree from Michigan and did his undergraduate work at Michigan State.
He created the Change To Win Organizing Center to advocate on behalf of the American middle and working classes.
A year after being appointed by George W. Bush to ACTPN (Advisory Committee on Trade Policy and Negotiations), he resigned because he felt Bush's policies went against worker's rights and social justice.
He campaigned for trade laws which were not harmful to the environment.
By taking on the Tea Party, he stood up to a group who'd spent the previous two years acting like playground bullies.
