Why he might be annoying:

His nickname during his playing career was 'Jeep.'
He played on three different teams during the 1993-94 season.
Despite posting solid numbers for a defenseman, he never played in an NHL All-Star Game.
He was a healthy scratch for the Sabres during the team's run to the Stanley Cup Finals (1999).
He was charged with assault, after a domestic dispute with his girlfriend (2014).
Given the nature of the charges, surprisingly the Stars didn't fire him over it.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the son of former Winnipeg Blue Bombers player Stephen Patrick, the brother of former player Steve Patrick and the uncle of hockey player Nolan Patrick.
He was a member of the Canadian national team at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
He was considered a sound offensive defenseman by hockey pundits.
He served as an alternate captain for the majority of the teams he played on.
He was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame (2008).
