Why she might be annoying:

Her maiden name was hard to pronounce, which is why she used her mother's maiden name as her stage name.
She didn't return to film acting until 1986, when she acted alongside both her sons in 'At Close Range.'
In 'At Close Range,' she portrayed the grandmother of the characters played by her two sons.
She frequently acted in films Sean was associated with (clearly shows he was her favorite child).
She moved in with Leo Penn less then a week after she met him.
She died a week before her 95th birthday.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was a versatile actress, as she appeared in theatre, film and television.
She was married to Leo Penn for 40 years until his death.
She took a break from acting to focus on raising her three sons, all of whom made it in the entertainment industry on their own accolades.
Through Sean's marriages, she was the mother-in-law of both Madonna and Robin Wright.
She acted well into her senior years, until her retirement in 2016.
