The Resume

    (May 13, 1944- )
    Born in Quantico, Virginia
Birth name was Robert Lawrence Crawford Jr.
    Older brother of Johnny Crawford
Portrayed Andy Sherman on 'Laramie' (1959-60)
Producer on 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969),' 'The Sting (1973),' 'Slap Shot (1977),' 'Slaughterhouse Five (1980),' and 'The World According to Garp (1982)'

Why he might be annoying:

He was often typecast in ethnic roles due to having darker features than his brother.
He auditioned for Mickey Mouse Club but wasn't chosen (his brother was).
He tended to get bit parts on The Rifleman and his brother's assorted projects.
His part on Laramie ended with his character getting put on a bus to boarding school (only to add a younger kid to the cast next season).
He and Johnny posed for beefcake shots as teenagers.
He and his brother appeared in Red Face for 'Indian Paint (1968),' in which they wore little more than loin cloths the whole movie.
He said of 'Laramie' co-star Robert Fuller: '[He] had a forearm as big as my thigh. And my ambition as a kid in that series was to get a forearm as big as [his]. So I would do my push-ups and pull-ups and my fencing. But I never learned how to build my body so I'd get a forearm like Bob Fuller.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He learned to ride and rope on 'Laramie' and now owns several horses.
He was already an accomplished child actor when Johnny gained fame on 'Rifleman.'
He was nominated for an Emmy for his role in 'Child of Our Time' on Playhouse 90 was nominated for an Emmy as Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (their their father was also nominated for Best Film Editing for 'The Bob Cummings Show').
He made guest appearances on Dragnet, My Three Sons, Gunsmoke and The Donna Reed Show.
He had a great relationship with his brother, and the two even recorded an LP together.
He wisely switched over from acting to the role of executive producer after the onset of puberty, and he enjoyed continued success as a result.
He paved the way for later 'child star siblings' to make niches for themselves in the industry (Kieran Culkin, Elizabeth Olsen, and Elle Fanning to name a few).
