In fact Peter Jennings did not step down, he passed away.
She also mistakingly stated that he worked at NBC when it was actually ABC.
Her voice is raspy.

Why she might not be annoying:

She confronted Shirley Phelps Roper's hateful anti-American remarks by saying ‘You should not be proud to be an American!’
She called Roper’s use of the word ‘fag’ disgusting.
Many veterans and family members of veterans praised her confrontation of Roper.
Unlike most women on Fox News, she is not blond.
