The Resume

    (February 28, 1942-July 3, 1969)
Birth name was Lewis Brian Hopkin-Jones
Member of the Rolling Stones (1962-1969, his death)
Replaced as guitarist by Mick Taylor
Recorded 'Ruby Tuesday,' 'Paint it, Black,' 'I Can't Get No Satisfaction,' 'Satisfaction,' 'Under my Thumb,' 'No Expectations,' 'Little Red Rooster,' 'Last Time,' 'I' am Waiting' and 'Get Off of My Cloud'
Played saxophone on the Beatles song 'You Know My Name (Look up the Number)'

Why he might be annoying:

He had three illegitimate children by the time he was twenty.
He was forced to drop out of school and leave England after getting a local 14-year-old pregnant.
He was so determined to be the leader of the Rolling Stones that he arranged to be paid more money than the other members.
    He abused drugs and alcohol.
His drug use got so bad that he often didn't show-up to studio recordings and performances. His musical contributions and creative output also declined to the point that he barely performed on any songs.
He physically abused his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg.
    He suffered from depression.
Pete Townshend said: 'Brian was living on a higher planet of decadence than anyone I would ever meet.'
He was fired from the Rolling Stones for his excessive alcohol and drug use (which really says something).

Why he might not be annoying:

He is credited with founding, naming and managing the Rolling Stones as well as being a master musician and studio innovator.
He was influential in defining the Rolling Stones' image and musical direction.
He played over 15 instruments including sitar, mellotron, clarinet, marimba, dulcimer and auto harp.
He was one of the first rock musicians to bring African-style music to Europe and North America, producing an album of Moroccan musicians.
Before his death he began cleaning up from drugs.
There is speculation as to whether his death was a suicide, accident or murder.
The Rolling Stones dedicated a free concert in Hyde Park in his memory (July 5, 1969).
Bill Wyman wrote: 'There were two Brians…one was introverted, shy, sensitive, deep-thinking…the other was a preening peacock, gregarious, artistic, desperately needing assurance from his peers.'
