Why he might be annoying:

He is often associated with reigning during Moses' time, but many Egyptologists have a hard time finding any evidence about that.
He was made a captain at 10.
He claimed to have single-handedly fought his way out of a Hittite horde, but Hittite sources claim his army was routed and forced to retreat.
When he couldn't defeat the Hittites, he decided to marry a Hittite princess as a truce.

Why he might not be annoying:

At about 6'2, he was extremely tall for his time.
An analysis of his mummy reveals he was left-handed.
His family was of non-royal origin.
He was so in love with his queen, Nefertari, that he dedicated a huge temple in her honor, which still stands today in modern Sudan.
He was probably one of the last great pharaohs.
