NFL Coach of the Year (1995)

Why he might be annoying:

He used unorthodox coaching methods.
He compared a home game loss to a home invasion where the man's wife is raped.
Follwing a 58-37 playoff victory over Detroit, he said that death and taxes were the only thing guaranteed in life.
His win totals declined in the seasons following his 1995 Coach of the Year award win.
He was fired by the Packers after one season as the team's head coach (January 2000).
Some football pundits believe that his no nonsense style of coaching was a major factor in both his firings.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the third African-American in NFL history to be appointed a team's head coach.
He was the first Eagles head coach in 35 years to earn coach of the year honors.
One of his main reasons for leaving Green Bay in his first stint was the lack of African-Americans in the community.
He played both tight end and defensive back during his active playing career.
He suffered a stroke, which caused him to miss the entire season (2005).
