Why Tesla (Motors) might be annoying:

    It shares the same name as a band.
    It helped Musk surpass Jeff Bezos in who is wealthier.
    Musk used his resources from his Paypal business become the company’s biggest shareholder.
    Musk allegedly forced Eberhard out of the company, taking over Eberhard’s CEO role.
    Its logo looks like a cat’s nose and has a shape similar to a diagram of a uterus.
    Forbes, Bloomberg News, and others have accused the company of using creative accounting to show positive cash flow and profits.
    The company has a reputation for retaliating against whistleblowers.
    Its factory in Fremont had three times as many OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) violations as the ten largest US auto manufacturing plants combined (2014-18).
    Musk and Tesla each paid $20 million in civil penalties after Musk tweeted about taking the company private, causing a speculative bubble in the stock price (2018).
    A California judge ruled company executives had violated state labor laws by sabotaging employee attempts to unionize (2019).

Why Tesla (Motors) might not be annoying:

    Like with the band, the name is a tribute to inventor Nikola Tesla.
    Drivers would save money running their vehicles as recharging the car battery cost significantly less than using gas.
    In addition to cars, it also produces solar panels and solar roof tiles in its commitment to making clean energy products.
    Although the heritage car brands have come up with their own electric cars, Tesla has become the flagship brand for such vehicles.
    The Tesla Model S was Motor Trend Car of the Year (2013).
    The Tesla Model 3 was the first electric car to sell a million vehicles.
    Its logo is actually derived from a diagram of a single rotor from the car’s motor.
