Played for the Harlem Globetrotters (1955-57), Philadelphia Warriors (1957-60), St. Louis Hawks (1960-61, 1963), Chicago Packers/Zephyrs (1961-63), New Haven Elms (1965) and the Boston Celtics (1965-66)
NBA Rookie of the Year (1958)

Why he might be annoying:

His actual name was Woodrow.
He was suspended by the Hawks, after he engaged in a dispute with the team's coach, Harry Gallatin.
He was a terrible shooter, and holds the record for lowest career shooting percentage.
He boycotted the NBA in protest over racial discrimination.
He lived as a recluse in poverty for the final years of his life.

He was a star player at Texas Southern University.
He was the second African-American player to earn the NBA Rookie of the Year honors.
He holds the distinction of being the lowest drafted player in NBA history to earn Rookie of the Year honors.
He earned a championship ring as a member of the Celtics (1966).
