Why he might be annoying:

    He looks older then he really is.
    He never played in the professional ranks.
    His Quinnipiac teams were criticized by college hockey pundits of being good teams without a killer instinct when it mattered.
    He comes off as being bored during interviews.
    He didn't reach the NCAA Championship game for the first time until his 10th season as a head coach.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He initially worked as a high school history teacher during his first few years after taking over the hockey program at Quinnipiac.
    He oversaw the transition of the Quinnipiac ice hockey program go from Division II to Division I.
    He put an emphasis on recruiting players of good character and team first style of play.
    He quietly turned the Quinnipiac men's hockey program into one of the elite programs in the country.
    He guided the Quinnipiac men's hockey team to the school's first ever NCAA National Championship (April 8, 2023).
