Why she might be annoying:

Many of her portrayals had a knack for butchering the English language (well, it wasn’t her first language, either).
    Wine over water for her.
She justified her love of couture hats by claiming to have thin hair.
For her stage appearance in ‘Nine,’ she played a role initially written for a guy with a Deutsche accent (fortunately with her own accent).
She never married — though at one time she had dated… Tom Poston.

Why she might not be annoying:

Having begun classes at eight years old – and performed at the coronation of Prince Rainier (1949) – she would go on to become a prima ballerina.
Initially averse to a film career, she signed on with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer when the dance company she worked with was discontinued.
Through her relationships with numerous actors, she claimed to learn different disciplines (one of which was hunting, with Clark Gable).
For her few appearances at the Tony Awards, she had all her bases covered (winner in 1982, presenter in 1983, and nominee in 1990).
She was active over six different decades.
No small feat to be named ‘Paris incarnate’ by the New York Times (2016)!
