The Resume

    (November 17, 1951- )
    Born in Miami, Florida
Recorded the single ‘Yes I’m Ready’ with KC (1980)

Why she might be annoying:

Her debut single, ‘Ain’t Nothing Gonna Keep Me From You’ (1978), failed to make the Billboard Top 40 despite being written and produced by Barry Gibb, who that same year created chart-topping hits for Yvonne Elliman, Frankie Valli, and brother Andy Gibb.
    She was a one-hit wonder.
She turned to Christian music when it became clear there wouldn’t be any more pop hits.

Why she might not be annoying:

She and Harry ‘KC’ Casey had gone to high school together in Miami.
She played harp and recorder with the Early Music Consort, a group playing medieval and Renaissance music (1970-77).
’Yes I’m Ready’ hit #2 on the Billboard Top 40, #1 on the adult contemporary chart, and #20 on the R&B chart.
She was nominated for a Grammy for Best Female Gospel Performance (1986).
