The Resume

    (1981- )
    Born in Midfield , Alabama
    Army Sergeant,turned model and athlete
Birth name is Noah Matthew Galloway
Served as a Sergeant with the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne Division (2001-2005)
Deployed to Iraq shortly after joining as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom
Lost his left arm above his elbow and left leg above his knee from an IED in 2005
Contestant on ABC's Dancing With the Stars Season 20, with partner Sharna Burgess (2015)
Finished in 3rd Place on the show's Season Finale (May 19, 2015)

Why he might be annoying:

    His website motto is #NoExcusesNoah.
He admitted in his Men's Health interview to smoking tobacco.
His selection for DWTS may have been in hopes of replicating the positive response to J.R. Martinez's 2011 stint on the show.
Many DWTS fans believed that he made it to the Final 3 out of sympathy votes and not necessarily due to his dancing skills.
His live on-air proposal to his girlfriend, Jamie Boyd, attracted controversy when fans claimed to have caught Erin Andrews 'looking annoyed' and 'rolling her eyes' during the proposal (May 11, 2015).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was inspired to leave college to join the Army after the September 11th Terrorist Attacks.
He was unconscious for 5 days after being wounded by an IED.
He allegedly woke up on Christmas morning to discover he had lost both his arm and leg.
He pulled himself out of a potential drinking habit after looking at his reflection to see that he had gained weight from his injury-related depression.
He credited physical exercise with helping him get his life back together.
He got in good enough shape to be named Men’s Health Magazine's Ultimate Guy for 2014.
He became the first 'reader' to ever make the magazine's cover.
He started the No Excuses Charitable Fund, which raises money for Operation Enduring Warrior and the YMCA of Alabama.
He opted to go without his prosthetic arm for a majority of his DWTS dance routines.
He defended Erin Andrews during an appearance on 'Extra' by saying 'that is not Erin.'
His girlfriend (also in the military) was deployed during his first weeks on DWTS, but was flown out a week early to surprise him on the show.
Real talk - his dancing skills were, at the very least, superior to Chris' and Robert's (sympathy vote be damned!)
