The Resume

    (May 21, 1954- )
    Born in Newton, Massachusetts
Birth name is Laura Lyn Greene
Portrayed Maria Teresa Bonino on 'On Our Own' (1977-78)
Portrayed Young Dorothy Zbornak on The Golden Girls (1987-91)

Why she might be annoying:

Her and Bess Armstrong's sitcom was basically a Laverne and Shirley knockoff.
The sitcom failed to register with viewers and was not renewed for a second season.
In her mid-thirties, she was cast to play Dorothy in flashback episodes, which included an episode where she first breaks the news to Sophia that she's been knocked up by Stan as a teenager (subverted in that Dorothy was meant to be a gangly and awkward girl).

Why she might not be annoying:

She transitioned to writing and producing as acting roles dried up.
Her impression of Bea Arthur's speech and mannerisms was so on point that she was brought back in a semi-recurring role.
She originated the role of Emma Goldman in Sondheim’s 'Assassins' musical off-Broadway.
She received a Drama Desk Nomination for her performance in 'Flora The Red Menace.'
She was a writer and executive producer on the series Nip/Tuck.
She is gracious to fans who recognize her from the Golden Girls and has attended numerous show-related events.
