    Born Woodrow Wilson Sovine
    Nicknamed ‘King of the Narrations’

Why he might be annoying:

He was nicknamed ‘The Old Syrup Sopper.’
On the pop charts, he was a one-hit wonder.
He suffered his fatal heart attack while driving a van through Nashville on Good Friday.
And he has his own… YouTube channel!

Why he might not be annoying:

So-VINE — pretty simple and straightforward, right?
    He was born into poverty.
He learned guitar from his mother.
He specialized in spoken-word truck-oriented material.
He replaced Hank Williams Sr., who would go to the Grand Ole Opry, on the Louisiana Hayride (1949; he joined the Opry seven years later).
Following his death, it became a tradition to advertise his greatest hits collection – ‘The Best of Red Sovine’ – on television, for new generations.
