Why he might be annoying:

He got the job at Disney Studios when a friend of his had a toothache and had to cancel his interview.
He had a penchant for drawing pin-ups of nude girls around the office.
His sketches were such an open secret that the topless Centaurettes in 'Fantasia' were called 'Freddie Moore girls.'
He was briefly fired from Disney Studios in 1946 during a bout with alcoholism.
He returned to Disney two years later but he never attained the same status as before.
He was set to animate Tinkerbell on 'Peter Pan' when production started in the 1930's, but it was postponed by World War II; by the time production resumed, he had been demoted to animating the lagoon Mermaids.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is credited with completely revolutionizing the design of Mickey Mouse.
He rose to prominence at Disney quickly, despite his relative youth and lack of formal training.
He was the physical model for Lampwick the hoodlum in Pinocchio.
During his hiatus from Disney, he worked on animation for Woody the Woodpecker, helping to redesign him as well.
He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage from a head-on car crash while returning from a football game. He died a day later.
Early model sheets for Ariel from 'The Little Mermaid' referenced her as being a 'Freddie Moore girl.'
