    He unceremoniously resigned from Green Dot's Board of Directors in a tersely worded statement without any further explanation.
    He lost his bid to oust incumbent LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, who won by an overwhelming majority (2016).
    He was raised by a single mom but spent a year in foster care.
    He was motivated to focus on education after losing his younger brother to drug addiction.
    He organized events for the 1984 Summer Olympics Torch Relay directly out of college.
    He mobilized the youth demographic in unprecedented numbers through Rock the Vote.
