Why he might be annoying:

He was a one-hit wonder in the US
He charges hundreds of dollars for prints of his paintings
The 1989 remix of 'Pop Muzic' sounds dated compared to the original.
'M' was just an arbitrary choice and doesn't stand for anything.
Some of the vocals on his albums were recorded in Dublin for tax reasons.

Why he might not be annoying:

'Pop Muzik' was an international smash, topping the charts in the US, Britain and other countries, and selling millions of copies.
He's considered a pioneer of electronic music.
His videos were in high rotation, even before MTV was invented.
'Pop Muzik' can still hold its own against today's electronica.
Despite being a one-hit wonder, he seems to have kept himself busy over the years.
He has a reputation for being driven, but pleasant to work with.
