Why he might be annoying:

He is a vegetarian.
He played the character 'Uncle Rico' who was a steak eater, but in reality during the steak eating scenes, he would just chew the steak and spit it out at the end of the take.
He appears mostly in second rate movies.
He refuses to drink milk or eat any dairy products.
He got his break due to nepotism, when his father writer/director Tom Gries gave him a part in a movie.

Why he might not be annoying:

As a character actor, he is able to play many different roles, effectively.
He has portrayed a computer geek and a mercenary.
He didn't make a fuss about having to play a character who eats red meat in 'Napoleon Dynamite.'
