    It is the first city in Japan to have a Chinatown, a daily newspaper, a power plant, a railway station, among other firsts.
    Minato Mirai's ferris wheel, Cosmo Clock 21 is one of the world's tallest ferris wheels.
    It has 42 museums, 16 universities, 20 parks and a few zoos.
    It hosted sports events including the final game of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, baseball and softball of the 2020 Olympics and soccer of the 2020 Olympics.
    The Yokohama Film Festival is held every February since 1980.
    It had a giant robot, Gundam from the mecha anime franchise of the same name at the Yamashita Pier as a tourist attraction.
