Why he might be annoying:

He was a reporter for fourteen years.
He doesn't give a very good explanation for his conversion from atheism to Christianity, for the most part it centers around his wife becoming a Christian and it made her nicer and happier so he became one.
In his arguments for the existence of God he does little to address the quantitative arguments against the existence of God.
He seems to know very little about the history of the Christian Church.
His website is mostly a store selling his books and videos/DVDs.
His own particular brand of Christianity leans towards the mega church, feel good, light on doctrine style of worship.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He's very bright.
He comes across as a really nice guy.
He is very nonjudgmental towards those who disagree with him.
He's been married for over thirty years.
He has never been involved in any type of financial or sexual scandal unlike many famous evangelical leaders.
He has made strong arguments for the concept of Intelligent Design, a theological specialty of his.
