The Resume

    (January 11, 2011-April 7, 2014)
SyFy Channel TV series about a werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost sharing a Boston brownstone
Starred; Sam Witwer, Meghan Rath, Sam Huntington, and Kristen Hager
Remake of a UK TV series of the same name

Why Being Human might be annoying:

The final season completely turned the show's mythology upside down by adding haunted house to the mix.
The traditional mythologies surrounding vampires, ghosts, and werewolves were ignored to suit the purposes of the show.
There was a silly story arc about zombies.
It was filmed in Quebec with an American main cast, none of whom were from Boston which resulted in a show set Boston with no one who even tried to speak with the distinctive Boston accent.
The SyFy Channel being the SyFy Channel kept trying to cut the show's budget and drag it on and run it into the ground.
To be perfectly honest, a TV series about a ghost, a vampire, and a werewolf living together in a haunted house is more than a little bit out there.
It never won any major awards.

Why Being Human might not be annoying:

The previously unknown cast could not have been better and appeared in every episode.
The pilot/early episodes and series finale/concluding episodes were perfect.
Popular contemporary music was woven into the show in a very good, non-intrusive fashion.
It is possibly the SyFy Channel's most popular series among women ever.
Sam Witwer and Sam Huntington played Jimmy Olsen in different projects before starring on Being Human.
There were lots of inside jokes such as casting real-life relatives to play relatives on the how and picking on each other's previous roles.
It had a large cast of semi-regulars that appeared scattered throughout the show's run or appeared during a story arc.
Among fans of both, the US version is generally preferred over the UK version.
The acting and the photography were in particular excellent.
