    (October 22, 1943-September 28, 2015)
    Born in Forest Hills, Illinois
Portrayed 'Log Lady' Margaret Lanterman in Twin Peaks
Also appeared in the films 'Femme Fatale' (1991), 'Another You' (1991), 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me' (1992), 'The Four Diamonds' (1995), 'Calvin Marshall' (2009) and 'Redwood Highway' (2013)
She said, 'I spent a lot of time in Disneyland as a kid. I think it warped me for life.'
She and actor Jack Nance got divorced while they were working together on David Lynch's 'Eraserhead.'
She had a bit part in 'Eraserhead' that ended up on the cutting room floor.
She said about the log she carried, 'I don’t want to sound too weird, but it fills the curve in my arm in a very intimate way.'
In addition to her credited work as assistant director on 'Eraserhead,' she also ponied up money when the finances ran out, served as a script supervisor, collected props, cooked meals for the cast and crew, and backcombed Nance's hair to make it stand up. ('The one credit I really wanted in the film was 'Mr. Nance's hair by...' because I always felt that was quite an achievement.')
She was also a camera operator on 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan' (1982) and Jim Jarmusch's 'Night on Earth' (1991).
She was a member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, appearing in over 50 plays in 22 seasons.
She noted that she never got a face lift, but the log did: It started losing bark during the first season, so it was sent to Lynch's father, who worked for the Forest Service, for repairs.
She said about her continuing recognition by 'Twin Peaks' fans, 'Who would have thought that by carrying a piece of wood so much could happen?'
