His last name is hard to spell.
He was traded by the Canadiens in the multiplayer deal that sent Scott Gomez to the team (2009).
He opted to forego his senior season at Wisconsin to sign with the Rangers shortly after the trade became official.
He crosschecked Wayne Simmonds in the back of the head, only to end up being on the receiving end of a suckerpunch from Simmonds in retaliation (February 6, 2016)
Despite serving as the team captain, he was traded by the Rangers in a white flag move at the 2018 trade deadline.

He is the nephew of former NFL quarterback Steve Walsh.
