Why he might be annoying:

'Taylor Mead's Ass' is a 76-minute long silent film of Mead's buttocks.
He complained endlessly about not getting paid enough money for being in Warhol's films.
A year after Valerie Solanas shot Warhol, he went through his unopened mail and discovered a letter from Solanas threatening to kill him, Warhol and Viva. He noted, 'If I had picked up that letter earlier, I would have called the police immediately.'
He was picked up by Montgomery Clift while cruising Central Park.
He did a lot of speed and quaaludes in the 60s.
He said, 'I told Johnny Depp I'm the most famous actor in the world. Of course, Johnny Depp thinks he is, although he's a very sweet guy.'
His Lower East Side apartment was filled with manuscripts, mementos, garbage and clumped kitty litter from floor to ceiling, with a friend who helped clean it saying, 'It took us a couple of days before we even saw part of the floor.'
    His self-assessment: 'I'm not a poet. I'm a drifter in the arts.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He had a drooping eye from a forceps accident when he was born.
He was described by the Village Voice as 'the first underground movie star.'
A critic said his acting 'exhibits the charm and impish physicality of the great silent comedians.'
He won an Obie (the off-Broadway equivalent of the Tonys) for his performance in Frank O'Hara's 'The General.' (1964)
He jumped a man who broke into the Factory and held a gun on Warhol and the other regulars (1964).
A short film of him declaiming the benefits of watching television non-stop aired during the second season of Saturday Night Live.
He said about being a vegetarian, 'For ten years, I wouldn't even eat fish. Then I realized that they eat each other, so what the fuck.'
He was a legendary fixture on the New York art scene for five decades.
