Why he might be annoying:

He was arrested for murdering Virginia Rappé.
He was an alcoholic.
He became addicted to the prescription morphine.
He was the first actor to officially be blacklisted in Hollywood (April 18, 1922).
He attempted to direct Buster Keaton's comedy, 'Sherlock Jr.,' but he was fired because he could not handle the stress.
He weighed sixteen pounds at birth (we're sure his mother was annoyed!).
He smoked and was the first actor to endorse cigarettes (Murads).

Why he might not be annoying:

The accuser, Maude Delmont, lied about the murder.
Virginia Rappé died of peritonitis, which was brought on by a rupture in her fallopian tubes (because of a build up of pus in the tubes from gonorrhea).
His mother died when he was 12 years old.
His father thought that he was an illegitimate child, beat him and eventually abandoned him.
He developed a growth on his leg, almost causing the whole leg to be amputated.
Will Hays officially lifted the ban on showing Arbuckle films (December 20, 1922).
He died from heart failure; Buster Keaton said he died from a broken heart.
