    Assistant coach for the women's basketball team at Louisiana State University (1992-2004) and the Seattle Storm
    Head coach for the women's basketball team at Louisiana State University (2004-07), WBC Sparta&K (2008-10), Chicago Sky (2011-16) and the Indiana Fever (2017-19)

Why she might be annoying:

    Her nickname is 'Pokey,' which she obtained as a child for having puffy cheeks.
    She legally changed her first name to Pokey.
    Despite guiding LSU to a 15-5 record and an appearance in the Women's Final Four in Sue Gunter's absence, her accomplishments are discredited by the school, as the latter was on medical leave (2003-04).
    Her tenure as head coach at LSU ended abruptly as a result of a scandal.
    She was rumored to have been involved in an inappropriate romantic relationship with one of her players (2007).

    She is openly lesbian.
    She is the first player in the history of Louisiana high school basketball to record a three-pointer.
    As a player, she was a member of the United States women's team that won gold at the FIBA Americas Championship (1988).
    Prior to her termination, she was associated with the LSU women's basketball team as either a player or a coach for 20 years.
    Her teams developed a reputation of showing gradual improvement every year she was at the helm as a head coach.
