    He goes by Rick, despite the fact his name is actually Eric John.
    He played in 15 career NHL games over a three season span.
    He was a minor league journeyman.
    His dismissal from Providence College was misleading as the school said he resigned, but he corroborated that he was actually fired.
    He named two of his kids Race and Lakyn.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He graduated from Providence College with a B.A. in general studies.
    He guided Union College to an upset victory over the University of Minnesota in the NCAA National Championship game (2014).
    He elevated the profile of the men's hockey program at Union College from an unknown to a powerhouse in the 2010's.
    To date, he is the Union College men's hockey program's all-time leader in wins and games coached.
    He is a coach who preaches hard work and accountability in a fair manner.
