He feeds on children and livestock.
When you see him, you get a premonition of a forthcoming disaster.
He was exorcised in 1740 for a hundred years. He came back in 1840.
He received national news coverage in January 1909 when he terrorized the Delaware Valley for a week.
He caused New Jersey to issue a state of emergency during this period.
He looks like Jim Carrey.

His mother cursed him before he was born saying: 'I hope that it is a devil!'
New Jersey's hockey team is named after him.
He is believed to be the inspiration for 'The Creeper' in 'Jeepers Creepers' and the creatures in M. Night Shyamalan's 'The Village.'
He is the official Demon of New Jersey.
In 2003, he got his own action figure along with Bigfoot, Nessie and The Mothman.
He inspired an episode of the 'X-Files.'
