Why he might be annoying:

He lost the lead in ‘The Godfather’ to Marlon Brando.
Aside from 'The Godfather,' he did most of his films in Europe during the last years of his life.
Despite a long list of films, he is best remembered for his supporting role in 'The Godfather.'

His son Mark became a film editor.
He was discovered by Elia Kazan and John Garfield.
