The Resume

    (February 12, 1982- )
    Born in Felben-Wellhausen, Switzerland
Goaltender for the Anaheim Ducks (2007-14) and the Calgary Flames (2014-16)

Why he might be annoying:

He didn't make his NHL debut until he was 25.
He had a penchant for having solid regular seasons, but flaming out in the playoffs.
His first NHL All-Star Game appearance was overshadowed by a bout of vertigo like symptoms, which caused him to perform below average.
His tenure with the Flames was remembered for him playing solid for the majority of his first season, only to regress considerably during his final season with the team.
He sported a plain black mask during his stint with the Ducks and a plain red mask during his stint with the Flames.

Why he might not be annoying:

He defied the odds and made the Ducks roster as an undrafted free agent.
He played well enough to allow the Ducks to deem both Ilya Bryzgalov and Jean-Sebastien Giguere expendable.
Some hockey pundits felt his goaltending performance in the Ducks 2009 Stanley Cup playoff run was phenomenal, given the fact they upset the #1 seed Sharks and took the Red Wings to seven games, which they eventually lost.
He recovered from his bout of vertigo to regain his starting job with the Ducks the following year.
He was fluent in English, German and French, which he learned in order to communicate with his North American teammates.
